PM Surya Ghar Muft Bijli Yojana offers up to ₹78,000 direct subsidy for residential rooftop solar: ₹30,000 for 1 kW, ₹60,000 for 2 kW, and ₹78,000 for 3 kW and above. You must own the property and have an active MSEDCL connection. Solart handles all paperwork and the subsidy is credited directly to your bank account.
Under Maharashtra Net Metering Regulations 2019, your bidirectional meter tracks both electricity you consume from the grid and excess solar power you export to it. MSEDCL settles units annually. Excess exported units offset your bills. Many Solart clients with correctly sized systems have ₹0 annual electricity cost.
Physical installation takes 2–3 days. The full process including MSEDCL inspection, net meter installation, and subsidy disbursement typically completes within 30–45 days. Solart owns the entire process. You won't need to chase a single office.
Standard on-grid systems shut down during grid failure (safety requirement). If power cuts are frequent in your area (common in Marathwada), we recommend a hybrid system with battery backup. Your home runs on solar + battery during cuts.
